RN – Endoscopy

The Iowa Digestive Disease Center/Iowa Endoscopy Center is seeking a qualified full time RN for the Endoscopy Center. Qualified candidates must have GI experience working in an endoscopy lab.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

RN license in Iowa

Experience:

Preferred endoscopy or gastroenterology experience.

Job Skills and Requirements:

  • Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language are required
  • Must have knowledge of and ability to perform nursing care in Admitting, Post Sedation Recovery, and assisting with a variety of endoscopy procedures. See attached job descriptions.
  • Experience and proficiency with electronic medical records preferred.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions, work independently and productively with minimal and appropriate supervision.

Clinic Nurse

Iowa Digestive Disease Center is in need of an experienced clinic nurse to support clinic operations. This individual will be responsible for coordination of patient and physician schedules, implementation of orders, and patient education.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Licensed RN; CPR and ACLS

Experience:

Minimum of one year experience.

Job skills and requirements:

  • Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language are required.
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be able to triage and schedule patients
  • Must be skilled in patient population age-based competencies to include patient attention spans, comprehension skills, psychosocial needs, hearing and sight limitations

CMA Endoscopy

The Iowa Endoscopy Center is seeking a qualified CMA for a large Endoscopy Center in Clive, Iowa. Qualified candidates must be certified and preferably have GI experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

A high school diploma is required, CMA certification preferred.

Job skills and requirements:

  • Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language are required.
  • Must have knowledge and ability to perform CMA general duties in a busy medical office/surgery center.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions, work independently and productively with minimal supervision.
  • CMA certification preferred.

Human Resources Coordinator

Job Status: Full-time Salaried

Statement of the Job

This role requires HR benefit coordination, insurance management, and serve as a resource to all employees with Human Resource Concerns. Will assist with typical Human Resources function that aid in the growth and prosperity of the business. Acts as a reference for employment law concerns. Aids the administrative staff with the recruitment, interview, and development processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Human Resource Duties:

  • Preparation of biweekly payroll, including tracking of PTO
  • Preparation of insurance schedules and benefit coordination
  • Oversee the new hire process and is responsible for the documentation of that process
  • Work with the Executive Director on reviewing and updating the Employee Handbook. Research and recommend improvements to the current personnel policies
  • Track and maintain evaluation requirements and recommend action on Human Resource matters
  • Assist with employee grievances when needed
  • Mentor and coach the managers in their respective areas to deal effectively with staff issues.
  • Conduct exit interviews with terminating employees, evaluate turnover and identify retention problems from the data
  • Responsible for maintaining confidentiality as required by law and standard practice

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Requires professional-level skills normally acquired though completion of a regular four year collage degree program in a specialized or technical field and two years related experience; or a minimum of five years equivalent life experience equal to a minimum of one year technical training and a minimum of four years specialized, directly related experience.
  • Experience in non-profit and fund accounting required
  • Experience with double entry accounting and business computer applications
  • Extensive understanding of Quickbooks and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, required
  • Strongly prefer experience in employment law, general background in human resources

Iowa Endoscopy Center is a free standing Ambulatory Surgery Center dedicated to gastro-intestinal endoscopy.

Therapeutics Center

Advanced therapeutics begin when standard endoscopic procedures no longer serve the patient.

IBD Center

A multi disciplinary center of excellence for adults and children with Crohn's Disease and ulcerative colitis.
