Amol Agarwal, MD
Dr. Amol Agarwal joined Iowa Digestive Disease Center in 2021. His special interests include Barrett’s Esophagus and other esophageal diseases, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis), and high-quality colon cancer screening.
Dr. Agarwal is originally from Clive, Iowa. He completed undergraduate studies in Georgia at Emory University and following this entered medical school at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated in 2015. He completed his internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, followed by training in gastroenterology at a joint program between University of Maryland and Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore.
He is excited and honored to serve patients in the Greater Des Moines area at Iowa Digestive Disease Center. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, biking, hiking, and cooking.
